Mass Image Compressor for Mac and Windows are both created by us, but each version is tailored to its platform. They share a core set of features focused on bulk image compression, but the UI and some specifics are designed differently for Mac and Windows. That’s why we have separate feedback pages, to better address the unique experiences of our users on each platform.

    I am sorry to hear that. But yes, we are working on AVIF images for macOS. We will support non-animated images for first-phase. Release timeline is around Aug 26. If we find enough interest, we can accelerate the release.

    Do you see any other feedback for MacOS version of Mass Image Compressor?

    Hello,

    After having a very good experience with MIC on Windows, I recommended it to a friend who runs MacOS. Unfortunately, it turned out the MacOS version is severely lagging behind. Will it get an update anytime soon, to bring the features up to par with the Windows version?
    Specifically, the disappointment was that there is no AVIF export option in the MacOS version. We need it to compress JPGs for web use.
