Mass Image Compressor for Mac and Windows are both created by us, but each version is tailored to its platform. They share a core set of features focused on bulk image compression, but the UI and some specifics are designed differently for Mac and Windows. That’s why we have separate feedback pages, to better address the unique experiences of our users on each platform.

    But the date on the compressed images is not that of the original files. Am I making some mistake?

    1. You are correct, date (created, modified) on compressed image is not preserved which is NOT part of EXIF metadata and created by Operating System (Windows in this case) when a new file is created. If you are talking about date info saved in EXIF metadata, it should be preserved – doesn’t it? Do you want me to contact you by mail and discuss more?

  2. The software works well for the intended purpose (functional, fast and reliable) but I cannot do image to image compression between compressed and uncompressed version inside the software. It’s difficult to gauge quality reduction by the compression process. Great software otherwise, a great time saver.
